Artist Statement

              My name is Kimberly Cnudde, and I'm in the 9th grade at John Glenn High School. I have one sibling; my brother, Todd. I began taking art class in 6th grade and have continued to every year since then. I enjoy art because it allows me to express myself and it can be very relaxing and also very fun. I think I've always liked art but the first time I actually started doing it in my free time was in 7th grade. There are so many different things to do in art, I believe there is something out there for everyone.
              I think I have grown very much so as far as my abilities. There are still many things in art I am not yet comfortable with, but I have learned so much since entering middle school. Things like shading and watercolor painting are very challenging for me, but I think I have gained more knowledge this semester. Acrylic painting has been the easiest for me. Even though I have not mastered it, I think I have gotten better at it. When people respond to my artwork in a positive way, it makes me feel better about it and encourages me. I hope one day everyone will be able to experience the joy of art like I do.
